'French Documentary in Retrospect' Screening in Beijing
Adjust font size:

A Sino-French event called the "French Documentary in Retrospect" continues until Sunday at China Film Archive.

During the nine-day event, 31 classic French documentaries covering a time span of 80 years will be shown from five categories: cinema and pictures, Paris and its suburbs, other provinces and foreign countries, politics and wars and individual and society. The films will introduce Chinese audiences to the sophisticated techniques and unique perspectives of some outstanding contemporary French directors such as Jean Rouch, Chris Marker and Jean Renoir.

All the documentaries will be shown in French with Chinese subtitles.

Meanwhile, for music lovers, especially those who are fond of traditional Chinese instruments, the 12 Girls Band will cook up a music feast to celebrate their fifth anniversary.
