This is the first Chinese mainland film Stanley Kwan has invested in. The story is about a singer who comes to Chongqing to pursue his singing career. It is set to begin shooting at the end of the year.

Kwan attended the press conference held for Huang's latest album We Are Both People Afraid of Loneliness in Beijing on Monday.

During the conference, Kwan, a winner of the Golden Horse Award for Best Director, revealed he learned about Huang through his music.

"Six years ago, I met Huang for the first time. He gave me his album, which impressed me deeply," Kwan said.

He added he expected Huang's performance in his new film.

As for Kwan's praise, Huang said, "It is a precious chance to collaborate with Stanley. Costarring with a good partner can also arouse my desire to perform."
