Senior Chinese leader Li Changchun on Wednesday called for extensively applying new and high technology to upgrade broadcast, film and TV production equipment to accelerate development of the sector.

 

Li, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited an international exhibition of broadcast, film and TV production equipment in Beijing on Wednesday evening.

 

He said rapid development and application of new and high technology, especially digital technology and web technology, have provided very good opportunities for accelerating innovation in cultural activities and boosting development of China's broadcast, film and TV industry.
