400 grams (0.88 lb) non-glutinous rice
100 grams (0.22 lb)glutinous rice
5 grams (1/6 oz) finely cut scallions
3 grams (1/2 tsp) salt
1 gram (1/4 tsp) MSG
20 grams (2/3 oz) finely cut sausages
250 grams (1/2 cup) cooking oil
1. Mix well the two kinds of rice, place in a container and add 500 g (1 cup) of boiling water. Steam for 30 minutes.
2. Put the rice into a large bowl, add the salt, MSG, scallions and sausage and well mix. Place the mixture in a square plate and press hard. When it cools off, cut into squares 1 cm (0.4 inch) each side.
3. Put the oil in a pan and heat it to 135-200ºC (275-390ºF). Put in the rice squares and deep-fry till they are golden brown. Now serve.
Features:Crispy outside and soft inside.
