Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Thursday that Singapore hopes to further cooperate with south China's Guangdong Province and the Pan-Pearl River Delta area.

During his meeting with the Governor of Guangdong Province, Huang Huahua, Lee said economic and trade cooperation between Singapore and Guangdong have developed well, as over a score of Guangdong enterprises are now listed in Singapore.

According to statistics from China Customs, annual import and export between Singapore and Guangdong has reached US$10 billion, accounting for 30 percent of the total volume between the two nations.

The Singaporean Prime Minister will also visit Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province later this week.

Lee is in China for the China-ASEAN commemorative summit scheduled for October 30-31 in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
