III. Introduction

 

One World One Dream! The world is like a harmonious family with everyone of us looking towards the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

 

As of April 9, the official website of the BEIJING 2008 Olympic Games, in cooperation with China Mobile, will be embarking upon the "Olympic Families Tour Beijing" campaign, which will make it possible for ten families, five from China and five from the rest of the world, to Tour Beijing and the co-host cities ahead of the Olympic Games. On the occasion of the one-year countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games, the ten winning families will come to Beijing to start their tour.

 

IV. Timetable

 

April 9 Launching of the campaign and the website

 

April 9--May 31 First round selection, producing 100 families

June 1-June 30 Second round selection, producing the final ten families; the results will be announced at a special TV program of CCTV-4.

 

Mid-July-Early August Follow-up reports on the ten families. Meanwhile, the families prepare for the tour, i.e. get the documents needed for traveling.

 

August 8 Beginning of the tour

 

August 9-15 Watch "Good Lucky Beijing" sports events; tour the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube; visit the Palace Museum and the Great Wall; watch 2007 Qingdao International Regatta; and sail in the sea.

 

August 16 End of the tour
