Italy stunned the United States 95-78 in an Olympic Games basketball warm-up match in Cologne, Germany on Tuesday, just 10 days before the Games kick off in Athens.
The Americans trailed 41-35 at half-time and it was their worst loss since 2002 when Argentina won 87-80.
Italian forward Giacomo Galanda had 28 points and Gianluca Basile added 25 while Carmelo Anthony led the Americans with 17 points and Tim Duncan contributed 15.
