China Loses to Germany 0-8

Chinese women's soccer team has lost their opening group match against Germany 8-nil at the Olympic women's football tournament in Patras, Greece. 
 
Chinese women's soccer team has lost their opening group match against Germany 8-nil at the Olympic women's football tournament in Patras, Greece.

German striker Birgit Prinz showed her power with 4 goals, including two headers, for the world champions.

Group F consists of three teams, and China must win their match against Mexico on Saturday if they are to enter the last eight of the Olympic women's football tournament.

In Group G, the United States beat the hosts, Greece, 3-nil while Brazil overcame Australia 1-nil.

And in Group E Japan won 1-nil against Sweden, the runners-up in the 2003 World Cup. (Photo source: sina.com)
