The Chinese table tennis team made their debut in Athens Tuesday, and both the men's and women's teams are moving smoothly into the next round.

In men's singles, Wang Hao, Ma Lin and Wang Liqin all won their games.

And, as if to help them along, four top seeds including Greece's Kreanga Kalinikos, have been eliminated.

China's female paddlers also moved ahead, but with a bit more trouble than the men: Wang Nan had to fight her way to a narrow 4 to 2 victory over North Korean Kim Yun Mi.
