Defending champion Zhan Xugang from China ended his Olympic dream with no lift in the men's 77kg category weightlifting at the 28th Olympic Games Thursday evening.

Zhan Xugang, gold medal winner in both the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics, failed to lift 157.5kg in three attempts in the snatch.
