Russian Lioubov Galkina won the gold medal of the women's 50m rifle 3 position at the Athens Olympic Games on Friday.

Galkina took the title with a winning total of 688.4 points, beating Valentina Turisini of Italy to the second place at 685.9. The bronze medal went to Wang Chengyi of China at 685.4.
