World number one Wang Liqin made some amends for the disappointment of a bronze medal in Athens by defeating Wang Hao to take the men's Volkswagen Open in Changchun.
Wang Liqin, who lost to Wang Hao in the semi-finals at the Olympics, gained revenge by beating him 4-3 in his home city, 6-11, 11-6, 13-11, 10-12, 11-6, 12-14, 11-2.
Meanwhile, double gold medallist Zhang Yining claimed both women's titles again, proving that last weekend's Panasonic China Open, where she failed to make either final, was a temporary blip.
Not surprisingly the world number one defeated left-handed Bai Yang, currently ranked 37th in the world, 11-4, 6-11, 11-13, 11-8, 11-8, 12-10.
Earlier Zhang teamed up with Wang Nan to trounce North Koreans Kim Hyang-mi and Kim Hyon-hui in straight sets, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7, 11-5. The North Koreans had defeated them at this year's Singapore Open and eliminated both of Hong Kong's pairs in Changchun.
Wang Hao and Kong Linghui then guaranteed all four titles for China by defeating the new German pair of Timo Boll and Cristian Suss. Wang and Kong, who last week lost to Hong Kong's Cheung Yuk and Leung Chu-yan in the China Open semi-finals, recovered from losing the opening set to take the men's final 10-12, 12-10, 11-6, 11-8, 11-9.
