ISU World Cup Short Track to Open in Beijing

The second leg of the ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating series will kick off in Beijing on Friday.

More than 130 skaters from over 20 countries will compete at the Beijing Capital Indoor Stadium during the weekend.

China pocketed three gold medals in the first leg in Harbin last week.

Chinese 19-year-old Wang Meng shone on the ice, winning the women's 500m and 1,500m.

South Korea dominates the medal tally with eleven golds.

The ISU World Cup consists of six stops across China, North America and Europe held from October to next February.
