The Beijing Olympic Press Center, located inside the capital's Huabei Hotel, was officially opened Monday. 
 
Regular press briefings and media services with Olympic-related news will be provided at the center until the opening of the 2008 Games.

The press center is run by the Beijing 2008 Olympic Organizing Committee, or BOCOG, and the Beijing Municipal Government.

The center is less than 2 kilometers away from the location where the Beijing Olympic Village is being constructed.
