China international defender Zheng Zhi has completed his move from newly-crowned Chinese Super League champion Shenzhen Jianlibao to Shandong Luneng. 

According to the newspaper, the Beijing Evening News, Zheng Zhi signed for the Jinan-based club with a transfer fee of US$1.2 million.

The 24-year-old will leave for the team tomorrow and join the winter training.

Zheng, who was instrumental in China's run to the final of the Asian Cup last year, had been unable to secure a European contract, despite trials at German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin and English Premiership outfit Southampton.
