Chinese Grab One-Two in 500m Speed Skating

Wang Manli and Wang Beixing clinched top two positions in women's 500m on the third day at World Championships Single Distances 2005.

Wang Manli didn't pick up her form at the beginning, a result of 38"92 in the first round put her on the third. But the skater proved her quality later as she finished with 38"29 in the second round and locked the victory with an overall time of 77"21.

Korean Lee Sang-Hwa came the third.

On the same day, Even Wetten claimed the men's 1000m title for Norway and Dutchman Bob de Jong reaped gold medal in men's 10000m for Netherlands.

Germany was crowned in Ladies Team Pursuit.
