China Wins One Gold in Speed Skating

The World Short Track Speed Skating Championships have wrapped up in Beijing.

China won one gold, two silvers and four bronzes at the championships.

South Korea topped the medal list with 5 golds and 5 silvers, while Canada finished second with 3 golds and 2 silvers.

On Sunday, Canada swept the relays and created a new world record in the 5,000m race of six minutes 39.990 seconds.

The South Koreans, only one foot behind, also broke the record and took the silver, while the bronze went to the United States.

South Korea's Ahn Hyun-Soo defended his title in men's all-round event, his compatriot, Choi Eun-Kyung, won the women's all-round event.
