Women's Team Gets Ready

The new national women's basketball team has gathered in Beijing to prepare for the Asian Championships in June.

Head coach, Tom Maher, added two new faces to his roster after trips over the past two weeks.

The Australian coach visited all three competing venues for the 10th National Games to get first-hand information on the players and drew the roster after discussions with members of his coaching group.

The 30-member team includes many experienced players.

They will travel to the United States to have warm-up matches against WNBA teams prior to the Asian Championships.
