NBA Network Airs Chinese Finals in US

Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) finals games were televised in the United States for the first time through NBA network Wednesday afternoon.

NBA TV, the NBA's around-the-clock cable channel, showed the best-of-five final opener between the Guangdong Tigers and Jiangsu Dragons on a tape-delay basis. Games two and three on Saturday and Sunday will be shown live under a deal between the league and the NBA.

Game feeds come from Shanghai Media Group, with English commentary from Wang Dong of SMG.

"We are delighted to work with the NBA to broadcast the best of Chinese basketball to the US basketball fans," said Li Yuanwei, executive vice president of the CBA.

The CBA Finals feature seven new members of national team, which will be coached by Lithuanian Jonas Kazlauskas after the finals.
