Real Madrid to Visit Bejing

Primera Liga powerhouse Real Madrid will begin its 2005 China tour with all heavyweight players for the second time from July 19 to 24, announced the club's deputy president Butragueno at a press conference in the Great Hall of People in Beijing on Tuesday.

 

It's Real's second visit to China after the legendary club held a training camp in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province and had a match with the "Chinese Dragon team" in Beijing two years ago. This time, they will face Beijing Hyundai club on July 23.

 

"Certainly We will bring all the star players here this summer, including Raul, Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Beckham, Owen and Carlos," confirmed Butraguenuo, "When we travelled to Beijing two years ago, we were deeply impressed by the warm welcome and great kindness of the Chinese fans here, that's why we decide to come to Beijing again."

 

"We would try our best to give the Chinese fans a fantastic match as a kind of reward."

 

Real is in fierce competition with big rivals Barcelona for the title of the Liga. The capital'sclub now have 69 points and rank second at the standings, six behind leaders Barcelona with five games left.
