China's top female tennis player Li Na rose to the 33rd place with 885 points in the latest WTA rankings, two ranks up from last week.
The 23-year-old, who entered the semi-final at Sunday's WTA event in Rabbat, became the highest ranked Chinese player, surpassing Li Fang who reached 36th in 1998.
Li Na advanced into world number 35 after losing to Lucie Safrova in the final of the Estoril Open on May 1.
