Long-awaited Sun Yue, PG for Beijing club Aoshen, shows up in Guangzhou to join the Chinese men's national basketball team on June 23.
The Chinese men's basketball team beat the visiting American all-star team in the opening game of five friendly matches on Wednesday.
It was China's first win under the management of Jonas Kazlauskas, who filled in the vacancy left by the ex-coach Del Harris in April.
The Chinese side, led by youngster Mo Ke, rallied from eight points down after the first half to beat their American peers 76-73. Mo Ke scored game-high 16 points and two rebounds for China, while Yi Jianlian had 11 points and six rebounds.
The second game will be held in Guangzhou on Friday.
