No reporters, no fans, Yao made an abrupt landing at Beijing's Capital International airport. Only his agent and officials from the national basketball team receive him
at the VIP room.
In shirt of sky-blue, Yao appeared to be very relaxed. An operation on ankle seems making no hindrance on walking.
Yao was back to attend a bundle of sports as well as commercial activities, including training and matches of the national team, NBA China training camp and the premiere of his biographic movie The Year of the Yao.
Many of those on schedule were previously unfeasible, but Yao's early coming back, prompted to join trainings with the new select of national team by Nation's Basketball Administration, has made them realistic.
Receiving an operation on ankle by a reputed American Chinese physician in the US, Yao won't start training right away with the national team until another check by the physician who plans to come later to China.
National team officials also hope the professional could help to diagnose other injuries inside the team.
Before the boarding from San Francisco, Yao had a dinner with Miao Lijie, who is now playing as a guard in WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs.
On the table, Yao told Miao "Sunshine comes after storms" as Miao complained about her mere chances to play.
