Luo Xuejuan Injured

China's gold medal hopes at the upcoming FINA World swimming Championships became uncertain.

A local media reported that Olympic champion Luo Xuejuan suffered an injury

The golden girl hurt her left ankle last week and is still unable to practice regularly.

Her coach Zhang Yadong confirmed the injury, but says Luo will participate in the Montreal Championships.

Luo Xuejuan is a strong title contender in the women's 50m and 100m breaststroke events.

She will also take part in the relay event.
