Rising Chinese skating stars Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao will compete for the pairs title in the upcoming ISU figure skating grand prix in Japan.

The pair returned from their Grand Prix victory in the United States to catch up with world and European champions Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin on 24 points.

Meanwhile, Chinese veteran Li Chengjiang will attend the men's singles competition.

The NHK Trophy figure skating tournament will be held from December 1 to 4 in Osaka.
