Explorers Reach the South Pole

Chinese explorers have reached the South Pole and completed the grand slam adventure by scaling the summits of all the seven continents and the two Poles.

The seven explorers left Beijing at the beginning of the month and started their walk to the South Pole on December 7th. During the nine-day expedition, the Chinese explorers endured great hardship, including the freezing cold and snow storms, to complete the mission.

Wang Yongfeng, head of the team, and Ciluo as well as Liu Jian, have become the first Chinese to complete the grand mission.
