Zhao Hongbo did not try a single triple jump during his last warm-up in Beijing before he and partner, Shen Xue, head off for the Turin Olympics.

Zhao, who is still nursing his injured foot, joined partner Shen Xue on the ice Thursday night for a trial amongst Chinese figure skaters.

The star skater, a former world champion, revealed prior to the performance that it was not injury but psychological problems that had prevented him from jumping.

Teammates Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao led the three Chinese pairs in the warm-up show, while another pair Pang Qing and Dong Jian recorded some small faults.
