China's distance runner Sun Yingjie has resumed training after a doping scandal last Octorber.

Yu Weili, an official from China Athletics Administrative Centre, said that Sun had returned to the track on Monday accompanied by her coach Wang Dexian.

The 26-year-old sprinter was embroiled in a doping case at the National Games.

Sun was banned from taking part in any competitions for two years.

However, Yu Weili said Sun still has a chance to run in the Beijing Olympics Games, which will be held in August, 2008.
