Chongqing Lifan slid one more step towards relegation as they lost to Shanghai Liancheng 0-1 on Thursday evening in a home match of China Super League Round 20.

The only goal came from midfielder Rong Yu of the away side in a corner event late in the first half.

The victory puts a halt to Shanghai's run of 12 winless matches, while Chongqing stays at the foot of the league table.

Tianjin Teda tied Xi'an Chanba International 1-1 in another game.
