Adjust font size:

Kim Song Hui scored three times on Sunday as North Korea hammered China 5-0 in the final of the world under-20 women's soccer championship.

The pitch turned into a swamp after torrential rain and was badly cut up because of the earlier game - where Brazil beat the U.S. 1-0 in a penalty shootout to claim third place.

Jo Yun Mi and Kil Son Hui also scoreds for the Koreans.

Canada failed to advance from the first round of the event after going 1-2-0.

China's Ma Xiaoxu won the Golden Ball as MVP and the Golden Shoe as top scorer with five goals and two assists. China's Zhang Yanru won the Silver Ball, while North Korea's Kim Song Hui (five goals, one assist) won the Silver Shoe and Germany's Anna Blaesse (four goals) won the Bronze Shoe.
