Defending champions Guangdong Southern Tigers remained unbeaten in the Chinese Basketball Association league after an 8th round victory over visiting Shandong Lions 104-86.

Zhu Fangyu and Yi Jianlian, Guangdong's two young stars contributed a combined 49 points to give the defending champions an easy home victory.

In another eighth-round match held Tuesday night, visiting Beijing Ducks lost 94-89 to home side Zhejiang Cyclones in overtime.

Beijing's international player Micah Brand had 35 points but failed to save the capital club.

Other 8th round matches will be played on Wednesday.
