38th Men's & 19th Women's Asian Weightlifting Championships

Date:April 17-28

1. Venues:
Competition Venue: Taishan College Gymnasium, Tai'an , Shandong
Training Venue: Weightlifting Training Hall of the Tai'an Comprehensive Gymnasium, with 20 training platforms.
Accommodation:
·Teams: Hongqiao Hotel, 2km from the venue and the training area.
·AWF Officials and Technical Officials: Taishan International Hotel
2. Rules and Regulations:
The competition shall be conducted in accordance with the latest rules of the International Weightlifting Federation.
3. Eligibility:
The weightlifting associations/federations affiliated to the Asian Weightlifting Federation are eligible to take part in the competition.
4. Entries:
Preliminary Entry Forms should be submitted to the Asian Weightlifting Federation and the Organizing Committee respectively by February 25, 2007.
Final Entry Forms should be submitted to the Asian Weightlifting Federation and the Organizing Committee respectively by March 25, 2007.
5. Awards:
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be presented to the first, second and third place winners in snatch, clean&jerk and total score respectively of each bodyweight category. Certificates will be issued for all participants.
Trophies will be awarded to the best six teams in both men and women competitions in accordance with the stipulation of team ranking of the International Weightlifting Federation.
6. Doping Control:
Doping control will be conducted in accordance with the policies of the International Weightlifting Federation.
7. Barbell:
The Double Happiness and Zhangkong Barbells will be used.
8. Financial Conditions of Participation:
Accommodation:
·Double Room: 90 USD per person per day (with three meals)
·Single Room: 110 USD per person per day (with three meals)
Entry Fee: 130 USD per person
All payment should be made to the accreditation center of the Organizing Committee in cash upon arrival.
9. Technical Officials:
The juries, referees, technical controllers and the doctors on-duty will be appointed by the Asian Weightlifting
Federation.
The Organizing Committee will cover the expenses (board and lodging) of the above officials during the competitions.
10. Insurance:
As required by the International Weightlifting Federation, each team must have casualty and travel accident insurance policy for its members before departure.
11. Registration and Accreditation:
The registration and accreditation process will start upon each team's arrival.
12. Flag and Anthem:
Each participating team( delegation) is kindly requested to bring in 2 national / association flags (100×150cm) and one tape/ CD of national/ association anthem which should be handed to the Organizing Committee upon arrival when going through accreditation.
Flags and tapes/CDs of anthem will be returned back to the delegations after the competitions.
13. Transportation:
The Organizing Committee will provide transportation to and from the Jinan International Airport, hotels, competition venue and the training venue.
14. Visa:
All participants will have to apply for visa with the Chinese Embassy in their country.

15. Climate:
In April, the weather in Tai'an is pleasant with little rain, and the temperature ranges between 25 to 33℃.
16. Voltage:
220V.
