China Edges Cuba by 2 Points
Adjust font size:

Miao Lijie scored a game-high 20 points to lead China's 60-58 win over Cuba at the four-nation women's basketball tournament on Saturday.

China jumped to a 5-0 lead at the beginning but the Cubans responded with a 6-0 burst to make it 6-5 before the first quarter ended 14-13 in favor of the visitors.

The second quarter went to the Chinese way as they took a 17-5 run for a 34-30 half time lead.

The Cubans gave China a scare in the last minutes, hitting two three-pointers. But the Chinese hang on to a slim lead for the victory.

In the other game, Lithuania beat Canada 86-65.
