Adjust font size:

Dutch first division team NAC Breda scored astonishing three second-half goals in 10 minutes on Wednesday to knock holders Ajax Amsterdam out of the Dutch Cup last 16.

Kurt Elshot's drive put Breda in front after 21 minutes but Luis Suarez equalised for the visitors from close range in the 66th.

Ahmed Ammi restored the home team's lead a minute later, Patrick Zwaanswijk headed the third goal and Lurling made sure of Breda's victory with the fourth.

Suarez then grabbed his second goal of the game with four minutes to go.

Quick Boys Katwijk became the first amateurs to reach the Dutch Cup quarterfinals since 1989 by beating Heerenveen's reserves 3-1 on penalties after the tie ended 1-1 following extra-time.

In another play on Wednesday, Heracles Almelo earned a 1-0 victory over second division Den Bosch with a late goal.
