China's Huang Huan overcame tough challenges from two Greek lifters to win the women's over 75 kilograms title at the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 International Weightlifting Invitational Tournament in Beijing on Wednesday.

Huang, 21, the champion of the 2007 World Junior Championships, combined lifts of 119kg in the snatch and 150kg in the clean and jerk to finish with 269kg, 15kg more than the runner-up Aikaterini Roditi of Greece.

Roditi settled for the silver medal at 254kg, and her teammate Vasiliki Kasapi took bronze the medal with 250kg.

Huang said: "269kg was not my favorite category. I was always trying to train hard and aiming to emulate Olympic champion Tang Gonghong in the competition."
