Mainland Martial Arts Troupe Visits Jinmen

Martial arts, or Wushu, are no less popular to Taiwan residents than to their mainland compatriots. To pay homage to Taiwan's strong martial arts following, a mainland Wushu delegation is performing on the island of Jinmen. The small island to the east of the south Fujian Province is ruled by Taiwan authorities.

The 21-member delegation plans to put on 4 performances in total on Jinmen, but their first show has already been lauded as a great success. The team includes Wushu champions from the mainland and Hong Kong, with their youngest member aged only six. The seasoned team has also toured extensively overseas, putting on shows in more than 30 countries and regions.
