League Members to Study Situation in Taiwan
 

Over 50 members of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League have gathered in Xiamen, Fujian Province, east China, to study the situation in Taiwan Province in 2004 on May 10-14.

The participants are expected to discuss a number of issues including the current situation in Taiwan and the development of political situation in that island province.

Li Minkuan, vice chairman of the league, addressed the opening session, expressed his hopes that the participants will give their comments and proposals on the role of the league which is regarded as a special link with the people of Taiwan.

Li urged the league's organizations at different levels to contribute their wisdom on the reunification of the motherland.

Wu Guozhen, another vice chairman of the league, also attended the meeting.
