Adjust font size:

All tourists reportedly missing in the boat accident in eastern Malaysia's Sabah State were rescued, but one local tour guide died, a report reaching Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Another tour agency worker on board still remained missing, according to a well-informed source at the Sadangan Town of Sabah.

There were 11 people on board, including four local tour agency staff workers.

All seven Australian tourists were rescued.

Earlier reports said that one of the two speed boats carrying 15 capsized in stormy seas in heavy rains as it traveled into the mouth of a local river near Sandagan.

The local staff members were working for the tour operator Wildlife Expedition. The search and rescue were still going on.
