Macao Sees Rise in Spring Festival Visitors

Macao logged 760,000 visitor arrivals during the Chinese Lunar New Year holidays from Feb. 18 to 24, a year-on-year rise of 17.78 percent, according to official statistics issued Tuesday.

 

The figures from the Government Tourist Office showed that some 55 percent of the new year visitors came from the Chinese mainland.

 

The hotel occupation rate stood at 94.98 percent during the holidays, almost flat over the same period in the previous year.
