Shenyang Spring Festival Lantern show opened last night in front of Beiling Park, attracting thousands of residents. Thousands of differently shaped lanterns were lit, forming a fantastic contrast with the bright moonlight.

Leaders from sister cities including Changchun, Harbin, Anshan, Fushun, Yingkou, Liaoyang, Panjin, Huludao as well as diplomatic officials from Japanese Consulate,  North Korean Consulate, Russian Consulate, South Korean Liaison Office , US Consulate attended the opening ceremony along with local officials.
