Bridging History
Marco Polo Bridge, a bridge famous for its numerous lion sculptures, is a work of exquisite craftsmanship, the object of admiration of an emperor in the early Qing Dynasty (AD 1644 to 1911). It became famous in its own right as the site of the first shot fired in the 20th century Sino-Japanese War.
Come join us in a stroll along this artistic creation, with imperial literary relics, and the bullet holes from the bloody war still embedded in the walls of the nearby town, Wanping.

Newcomers' Network
The International Newcomers' Network meets on the last Monday of each month to discuss topics concerning new arrivals in Beijing.
