Cold wave grips Inner Mongolia

The ice is seen outside a public bathhouse in Yakeshi, Hulun Buir, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Feb. 5, 2012. By Feb. 2, 2012, the temperature in most places of Hulun Buir stayed below minus 40 degrees centigrade consecutively for 9 days. More than 500 cattle and sheep were killed by the coldness. China's Central Meteorological Station on Sunday issued a cold wave warning for areas of north and east China in the following days. In some areas, the temperature may drop by 10 to 14 degrees centigrade. [Xinhua]
