An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Bougainville region, Papua New Guinea at 1950 GMT on Thursday (0350 on Friday at local time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 60.10 km, was initially determined to be at 6.3718 degrees south latitude and 154.8467 degrees east longitude.
