Man-yi, the 18th typhoon, made a landfall shortly before 8 a.m. near Toyohashi in the central Japan prefecture of Aichi on September 16, bringing fierce rainstorms. Public broadcaster NHK said four people were missing due to rain-triggered landslides or floods, while at least 65 people were injured and more than 860 houses flooded.
