The State Forestry Administration has asked Zhengzhou Zoo in Zhengzhou, central China's Henan Province, to return a giant panda, named "Long Sheng," to the China Panda Protection and Research Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province, chinanews.com reports.

The decision came after another panda bear, "Jin Yi," which was also borrowed from Sichuan for exhibition, died last month at the zoo.

Experts from the forestry administration claimed that the zoo was not qualified to raise giant pandas due to poor sanitary conditions after an evaluation of the temporary panda bear housing at the zoo.
