5.1-magnitude quake hits Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted 41km S of Nemuro, Japan at 21:26:23 Hong Kong on Tuesday (13:26:23 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 43.92 km, was initially determined to be at 42.9496 degrees north latitude and 145.6344 degrees east longitude.
