A cold front will hit most parts of north China, bringing low temperatures and strong winds, the national weather observatory forecast on Sunday.

From tonight to tomorrow, mild to strong winds will hit central and eastern Inner Mongolia, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and most parts of northeast China, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.

In the coming week, temperatures in north and east China will drop by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Continual rain is forecast for south China in next three days, with occasional thunderstorms hitting parts of southwest China.

The NMC warned places expecting heavy rainfall to take precautions against floods and landslides.
