Landslide buries 3 people alive in Qinghai

A landslide erupted on the side of a hill in Datong County, Qinghai Province about 7am today, China Central Television reported.

The landslide raced down in a fury of dirt and rock, pouring over into a village, burying 3 people alive and entombing a taxi as a result. Rescue personnel were notified immediately of the situation as they rushed to the site of accident.

Around this noon, the rescue workers pulled out two people, a 6-year-old boy and an adult man. The adult man was wide-awake while however the young boy was in an unconscious state. Afterwards, at 12:10pm, the third person, a 12-year-old girl, despite being unconscious, was also pulled out.

The victims were rushed to hospitals.
