Grass display on Nanjing wall

A grass display adorning the wall of a public toilet on Cha Ha Er Road in the Jiangsu Province city of Nanjing has attracted many passersby, according to the local Yangtze Evening News on Thursday.

The grass is both evergreen and drought resistant, and doesn't just beatify the environment but also helps keep the building cool in summer and warm in winter, the newspaper said.

The current market price for such grass is 800 yuan, or around US$117 per square meter. It is the first time the city of Nanjing has used this type of display to adorn public architecture.
