Wu Peng Wins Men's 200m Backstroke Gold Medal

Wu Peng of China won his third gold medal at the Asian Games by winning the men's 200m backstroke event Saturday. The 15-year-old Wu Peng was timed at 2:00.40 for the title. He had won 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley titles earlier in the competitions.

As the youngest member of the Chinese team, Wu showed his masculinity by his final heats in the pool.

He placed third at the last ten meters, but stroke to top by powerful paddling to the line.

Finally, he captured the gold in two minutes 0.40 seconds. Two Japanese swimmers won the silver and the bronze by 2:00.76 and 2:01.22.

In the past five swimming days, Wu grabbed golds from Japanese in the men's 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley.
